This role needs a switched on Senior Surveyor who understands the need for innovative thinking and robust initiatives.
You will be responsible for all survey control required to achieve short to medium term production & development targets for this really neat underground mining operation. Providing direction and technical advice to a site based surveying team is also a necessary component of this role.
Essentially you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Mine Surveying
- An authorised Grade 1 Mine Surveyors Certificate
- At least 5 years underground experience in a similar senior role
- Experience with survey based software, also familiarity with
drafting and modelling programmes for orebody definitions and
mine planning would be an advantage
- Good planning & organisational skills
To excel in this leadership role you must demonstrate the following:
- Show a high level of enthusiasm and drive for continuous
improvement within the survey team
- Demonstrate a pro-active and team oriented approach
- Ensuring all surveying activities are carried out safely, in accordance
with company standards and legislative requirements
- Provide technical leadership to your team
- Responsibility for the spatial integrity of all underground datasets
- Develop and improve survey standards and procedures
- Assist the survey team to deliver actuate survey control for develop-
ment layouts, production drill mark-ups, check surveys and
miscellaneous layouts in a timely manner
