• Through designing and implementing development and production activities in a variety of mining environments and challenging ground conditions you`ll also be in a position to learn about alternative approaches to remnant mining where high activity levels are the norm.

  It will be essential that you demonstrate a pro-active approach to safety and lead by example.

  The position liaises with both the operating and technical teams by focusing on issues such as:
  *Maximising staff and equipment resources
  *Identification and Optimisation of production Opportunities
  *Mine Development Design, implementation, and Monitoring
  *Medium and Short Term Scheduling
  *Key Performance Indicators
  *Equipment Evaluations
  *Cost Reduction Initiatives

  And with regular reviews, your responsibilities will be expanded to include key involvement in the establishment of mine expansion projects.

  The position reports to the Mine Superintendent, and his preference is for a Mining Engineer with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to draw upon previous experience to embrace the challenges of managing a team of technical professionals. You must possess a Mine Engineering Degree and have at least 7 years experience and come with mine software knowledge.
